The Remote Area
Advanced First Aid course is aimed at those who travel to areas
where immediate professional medical care may not be available.
Courses can be run at our training area in East Sussex, or at a
clients requested location.
Courses do not run on scheduled
dates, but are run as requested by our clients.
Whilst
it is preferable
to deliver a seriously injured/sick person immediately to
experienced medical professionals, this is not always possible;
there may be times when the only help available for an
injured/sick person is you.
This course is
designed to give you a more advanced understanding of first aid
and its importance in the overall care of a sick/injured person;
particular emphasis is placed on trauma management.
Although years of
ongoing training and, more importantly, practical experience are
required to produce an individual skilled in the immediate
treatment of the sick/injured, with the application of key
concepts and skills learnt on this course, even those with limited
medical knowledge can greatly improve the chance of survival of a
sick/injured person.

During the course we put all students through a number of
practical sessions and scenarios, building up to a final exercise
involving multiple casualties, fire, smoke, noise, gun fire and
professional actors to create the most realistic training
possible.
