Senior Project Manager
After a seven-year career in the education sector following a degree in Physical Education, Ian embarked on a career in construction and property. After working with the owner of the luxury boutique Hope Street Hotel, he was tasked with the regeneration of the Grade 2 School for the Blind in Liverpool, transforming a semi-derelict site into a mixed use leisure and office development.
Ian has also worked for The Carpenter Group, which owns, operates and lets over 2,000 bedrooms across the North West including student, PRS and hotel schemes, with responsibility for the leasing and conveyancing of all commercial property, attracting tenants such as Tesco, KFC and The Art School Restaurant.
This role developed into a Senior Project Manager role in the £7m development of Hope Street Hotel, encompassing the addition of 62 bedrooms, a £1.2m luxury spa, a 40-seat cinema and a large rooftop conference space.
Ian has a Master’s degree in Commercial Building Surveying and, in his spare time, is a UEFA licensed football coach and the proud First Team Manager at Mossley Hill Athletic Football Club, who play in the Step 7 Carlsberg West Cheshire League. Ian has 4 children and, where possible and when not coaching, enjoys spending time travelling with them.
